The guys who created BSP were...

BSP, when it was new, was created by Colin Reed and Dylan Cuthbert. That second name should sound familiar if you've played Star Fox on the SNES, because it's the same guy. He apparently ported it to DJGPP and is thanked in quite a number of '94 maps' text files because of that. Both Colin and Dylan were employees of Argonaut at the time that they were doing this Doom modding work on the side.

It's kind of cool that a couple of the designers and programmers of the Super FX, a chip later used to port Doom to the SNES, were Doom fans at one point.
