wallabra Posted September 25, 2015 This map, when ran, crashes GZDoom once loaded. It is an adress access fault but I simply don't understand it! 0 Share this post Link to post
wallabra Posted September 25, 2015 The map is curvy. And there is nothing that would make it crash. Also, it has only 629 linedefs and 81 sectors. Not this much that could make ZDoom explode. 0 Share this post Link to post
Gentlepoke Posted September 25, 2015 Script error, "VectorXYZ1.1wad:MAPINFO" line 4: Unknown property '2' found in map definition -- The map runs fine for me however there are quite a few HOM, the doors do not open and I hope you don't take this the wrong way but I would recommend learning how to map with the basic elements like texturing, doors and lifts before you go for 3D floors. 0 Share this post Link to post
wallabra Posted September 25, 2015 I already made nice mapping and my 3D flooring is actually nice! Also I didn't saw HOMs in my map the time it ran, and the doors opened nicely. Though I need to know how to ACS... 0 Share this post Link to post

wallabra Posted September 25, 2015 Unfortunately my tests.. I normally don't worry to register them, like in screenshots. But: 0 Share this post Link to post
RestlessRodent Posted September 26, 2015 It is possible that you have disk and/or memory corruption, check those. Another possibility is your virus scanner, etc. 0 Share this post Link to post
scifista42 Posted September 26, 2015 Which version of GZDoom do you have? If not an old and obsolete one, did you report the error to Drdteam as the error screen advised you to? 0 Share this post Link to post
wallabra Posted September 26, 2015 I have GZDoom version 1.8 and I did not report. 0 Share this post Link to post
gaspe Posted September 26, 2015 That version is quite old, try with the most recent one. 0 Share this post Link to post

Misunderstandings usually arise when those asking for help give only incomplete information gaspe said:That version is quite old, try with the most recent one. That depends on which version of GZDoom 1.8 he is using. For clarification: Systems with Graphic Adapters which cannot support OpenGL 3.x or higher must use GZDoom 1.8.10 or earlier versions Any 1.9 versions should not be used, as they were simply precursory test builds for the 2.x versions Systems with Graphic Adapters which can support OpenGL 3.x or higher can use any GZDoom 2.1.x versions. http://forum.drdteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=6482 or http://devbuilds.drdteam.org/gzdoom/ 0 Share this post Link to post

The map did not crash when I ran it with GZDOOM 1.8.10. However, there is definitely something wrong. While it is relatively easy to fix all of this, I leave that to you. I'll just list the main points. So I opened it with Slade3 There are two maps with different formats. One will open in the editor in BOOM format the other in UDMF. The map marker TOMMYGUN is actully an MP3 music lump. The format in MAPINFO is incorrect. In MAP01, line specials 209 and 160 do not mix well, causing HOMs and a floating effect. In MAP01, most of the line specials do not make sense. Texture misalignments. 0 Share this post Link to post
wallabra Posted September 27, 2015 Access violation for me, and is not corruption but is a doubt. Once a time my Unreal Tournament game was corrupted and it gave EndOfFile-relative errors. It is today fixed. But I made the map with SLADE3 and finished with DB2! Now I will finish it with GZDB if this helps. 0 Share this post Link to post
wallabra Posted September 27, 2015 Seriously I don't know what is wrong overall. Someone please fix!! Which is adress FFFB2F79? 0 Share this post Link to post
Blue Shadow Posted September 27, 2015 Did any of you (Gustavo and riki) try it with 1.8.10 instead of the two-year-old 1.8.2? 0 Share this post Link to post
