A fair bit older than 13! He was around 16/17 at the time!

Good catch, you're right. I guess the squeaky voice overrode my memory :V

I've been looking at both images and failing to see exact matches in the clouds, but looking at the pic gives me an eerily familiar feeling. Is it probable that RSKY1 was derived from this image?

I want to beleive that the sky texture from Episode 3 (Inferno) as well as Episode 2 (Shores of Hell) are legit places/mountains.

Episode 2 I'm certain of (albeit some minor editing)

Episode 3... not as certain. Could have been digitally created.

Either way... where ever those bluffs/rocky towers & cliffs may be, I want to build my home sy the base of them and live there.

In fact I'd probably build a building identical to the hellbase and it's satellite buildings in e3m6 and surround it with lava and some 10ft high walls.

Dream home.

Funny. I immediately thought "it's gonna be that sky with yellow mountains".

Yellow outdoors! Like Doom 4!

Pictures of clouds are hardly rare.

Yeah, they probably googled it in 1993/1994 ;) Anyway, I'm pretty sure that even if this isn't that sky, they use some photo from other album. Of course id artist must strongly modified source picture so it be tileable e.g.

My fav, however, is the demon eating an ice cream cone.

Hmmm, a new icon for Chocolate Doom perhaps?

I wonder why id never used the fourth one..

It wasn't used as a switch no. But it appears on several textures.

I saw that texture was used in Quake, now that you mention it..

Edit: Oh, I didn't think that was the same face on STONGARG and some others..

Love it. The one I really want to find is the original picture of the frame around the skull button. I think it's based on a photograph because it definitely has small details, but they're hardly recognisable. It has to be an antique arch top mirror frame, picture frame or a window frame. Anyway.. I really like what you've find. Gonna cast them in bronze in the summer.
