Tracer Posted October 1, 2015 I've always wanted to ask, but never remember to. 0 Share this post Link to post
Linguica Posted October 1, 2015 It's Karl Urban in his seminal role as JOHN "REAPER" GRIMM in the hit film DOOM, and on the left is the same actor as Eomer crying in Lord of the Rings, because... uh... some reason. 0 Share this post Link to post
Remilia Scarlet Posted October 1, 2015 Karl Urban. He was the Doomguy in the Doom movie. 0 Share this post Link to post
Godling Posted October 1, 2015 Lmao. Stick this up in the corner... so.awesome. :) 0 Share this post Link to post
Tracer Posted October 1, 2015 Welp...it makes sense that I didn't recognize either. I hated the Doom movie, and never followed Lord of the Rings. But, good to know! Thanks guys. 0 Share this post Link to post

Remilia Scarlet Posted October 1, 2015 I dunno, Legolas always looked like he was crying in response to how the Doom movie turned out. 0 Share this post Link to post

Clonehunter Posted October 1, 2015 Dwayne Johnson seemed to be advertised as such, but he ended up being closer to Sergeant Kelly. 0 Share this post Link to post

No offense to Mr Urban, but maybe it would have been a better movie if The Rock was the lead. Or maybe I just think any change has a chance to have improved the end result. Mr Urban was great in DREDD. Watch that if you haven't. 0 Share this post Link to post
SavageCorona Posted October 2, 2015 It would have been a better movie if they didn't do everything wrong. Even the fabled "good bit" in the movie is pretty shit. 0 Share this post Link to post
Tracer Posted October 2, 2015 "They're making a DOOM movie." "WHAT?! FUCKING SWEET!" "Eh, it's not quite like the game." "Well, are zombies?" "Yes." "Okay, so far so good. How about marines?" "Yes." "Alright! Are they on Phobos?" "Well, no. They're on Mars though." "Okay, not exactly canon, but not bad. Are there demons?" "Well no, that would have implied that Hell existed." "THERE ISN'T HELL?!" "Nope." "Well then how do they explain where the monsters came from?" "They're mutated people." "So there aren't any demons..." "No." "So this is a zombie movie that takes place on mars with a few genetic mutants?" "Yeah." "So...Resident Evil in space. Thanks, yeah no." 0 Share this post Link to post

Thanks, yeah no." when I read the original story behind the doom game the only thing I could think of was "what a great movie script this would make". why the "F*CK"! they didn't stick to the original story?????? I want people shot and impaled for not having stuck to the original story line which was so great indeed. It's such a big shame, nothing would ever right the wrong that was done. 0 Share this post Link to post

joe-ilya Posted October 5, 2015 I think the movie turned out lame is because of the low budget? Oh wait, wikipedia says the budget is 65m, but maybe it needs a lot more money to have hell and demons in a movie. 0 Share this post Link to post
