How to play a sound effect?

I know your pain, it took me sometime to get it working despite being a simple script.

Here is what's working for me:

First place where the sound will be heard: Thing - Mapspot (9001 in UDMF format)
Script: PlaySound (Your Tagged Mapspot, "SOUND", CHAN_BODY, 1.0, false, 0);

If the sound still doesn't play it's possible you are using the incorrect name of the file. Also don't forget about the trigger.

**Alternative**

SectorSound ("SOUND", 127);

This should play and be heard from anywhere, as if it's playing on the actor
