MegaWADs to play

Hello,

I've just recently got back to playing/mapping. Now for the playing part I'm looking for awesome megaWADs (32 levels).

I've already done:
- Scythe (all 3); which is my number one favorite megaWAD
- Alien Vendetta
- Cchest IV
- Jenesis
- Reverie
- Original Doom games of course, including TNT Evilution

Which other megaWADs are a must-play?

i'd love to see reasons alongside recommendations hee

seconding TVR!.wad, a great breezy level set which plays a lot like the original Doom 2 except with its level order shuffled.

ALT.wad (Alternate Life Transformation) is still the most puzzling and eerie level set as far as I'm concerned - a few of the levels are very harsh in difficulty but most play like TNT both in terms of monster balance and sheer you-are-lostness. Eternal Doom comes close but has kinda aged.

also BTSX E2 is staggeringly beautiful both visually and audibly. It's too hard for me but perhaps I just need to study it more...

If I may digress from the topic a little, which of these Megawads are Zdoom suited and more modern + quality?

I have played mostly older Megawads. The most recent are Going Down and Valiant. Both really good.

Super Sonic Doom is for ZDoom. It's really old though so things might be a bit broken or something :P

I'm surprised with how little megawads I've played. I guess it was only Scythe 1 and 2 (stopped in green world though), NMD stuff and DTWID series. I've tried some other stuff, but most of it goes slaugther (sometimes even early) and then I give up lol
