Newbie here has ?'s and needs help

well i played doom years ago when it first came out and i just downloaded all these cool doom mods my favorite is zdoomgl i just want to know if ill be able to play zdoomgl online if not what is the most common online doom played. i just want to get into the action. ive downloaded several things but i think i need to start from scratch. so what are all the needed files and stuff ill need to play multiplayer thx.

You can play ZDoomGL online with the Doom Connector. The Connector supports online play with Zdoom, ZdoomGL, Prboom, Legacy, and a few other ports to boot.

You can also try ZDaemon and CSDoom, which are client-server multiplayer ports based off Zdoom. Once you have those two use Internet Doom Explorer to browse the server list.

You can play vanilla Doom2.exe online at MSN Zone provided you have a DOS-based OS (Win95/98), but don't expect to win many matches, the Zone players are among the best.

Cool, Doom Legacy's great (I especially like split screen mode, except controlling is a bit difficult when you're use to the mouse and you can't be bothered to plug a second one in). I know you can play it online on its own server, ingame, and on Doom Connector, but is there anywhere else?

Legacy doesn't get played online a whole bunch because of net code is slow. If you've got a good connection it'd probably be pretty cool. I'm making a Legacy Multiplayer mod right now:

I don't like Q3Tourney6 pretty much but I'm dying to play it in Doom. Looks cool, very cool.

Nooooooooo, it's Q3TOURNEY6! I've seen people have created a q3dm7 convertion for Doom; however, the level was never finished.
