Yay Dex!

Recommended Posts

Version 1.5.0 of the Linux WAD editor Yadex has been released. What's new in this version, you may ask? Well...

  • function to swap floor & ceiling,
  • sprites shown on the map,
  • Heretic and Doom alpha tweaks,
  • improved Strife support,
  • support for sprites in pwads,
  • some support for EDGE,
  • about 50 other changes.

This is the first new version since 4/1/00, for those of you keeping score.

I've always thought that windows/dos editors in general are sparse in the good department, either being too ugly or too buggy.

I really dig DOOMCad a lot. It'll only work under a windows environment (Win3.x on up to WinNT and Win2K). Not very good copy and paste.

You may want to try WAD Author, it has a pretty tight and useful copy and paste between levels in the same editor.

What is the difference between 6.1 and 5.1? Does 5.1 allow you to [b]easially[/u] create sectors in sectors?
