Install it and when you want to run a game, right-click on the executable and chose the 'Run with VDMS sound' option. 0 Share this post Link to post

Sephiroth Posted June 13, 2002 yea u have to go with a source port. while DOS doom may run under XP the sound is horrible. as of now XP has support for the very old 8-bit soundblaster. so any sound u do get running off dos doom in XP will sound like a monkey farting in a can. i recoment zdoom or legacy 0 Share this post Link to post

mmnpsrsoskl Posted June 14, 2002 dsm said:Hmm, that just contradicts everything I've heard so far. I will second that...tem times over. Anyone ever try this game called Heretic? Like just about any other dos game, the game slows to a halt whenever a sound is played. So not everything works. 0 Share this post Link to post
