graphic engine design

Recommended Posts

I was just curious if anyone knew of some good resources for graphic engine design (not the code, I can handle that). A couple of googles don't seem to have done me as much good as I had hoped. I was really looking more for a basic list of what's in the average graphic engine, how it interacts with physics engines, that sort of thing. Just a lot of really boring theory that I haven't had at school yet (in the spring, hopefully, but I'd like a leg up on those hosers).

http://www.gamasutra.com. It's got an obnoxious registering procedure, but it's all worth it once you're in. A shitload of articles on every aspect of game development, video interviews with designers, Post Mortem articles on certain games written by the developers themselves, etc.

These sites about OpenGL coding are particularly interesting:
http://nehe.gamedev.net and http://www.gametutorials.com. Give 'em a look.

Gratzi. I frequent NeHe about twice a week (and have ever since I picked up OGL), but I'll keep an eye out for that stuff.
