wavelength Posted August 6, 2001 Sweet. People need to use slopes more: ramps, overhangs, ceilings, slides, hillsides, underwater, control panels... 0 Share this post Link to post
Guest Captain Napalm Posted August 6, 2001 This looks way better than the first shot. 0 Share this post Link to post
Guest The ColdRock Posted August 6, 2001 You'd better get togather and do alternative DOOM 3 engine and sell it and make a lot of money and kick id's ass. yeah. 0 Share this post Link to post

Guest Busted Corpse Posted August 6, 2001 It's outdoors you spod... sorry... This map rocks, dammit! 0 Share this post Link to post

Guest Nash Posted August 6, 2001 I know it's outdoors, but it would look more interesting with lighting decoration. If you look at todays' games, look at the lighting detail on the maps. I know this is Doom, but well since it's gonna run on GL, might as well add the lights anyway... but if it slows down the system too much and destroys gameplay then nevermind. 0 Share this post Link to post
kristus Posted August 6, 2001 Fyre: More detail in your DM maps. I want vrack2 detail. :p Oh and I want pickles. pickles and ice cream. NOW DAMMIT. 0 Share this post Link to post
Guest demoness Posted August 6, 2001 Kurt really needs to put more detail in his maps, its always brick or somthing. The slope is nice though. 0 Share this post Link to post
ShadyXMR Posted August 7, 2001 Hot shit. Can't wait to play this one. I love slopes. 0 Share this post Link to post
Bloodshedder Posted August 7, 2001 Over the hills and through the castle to grandmother's house we go... 0 Share this post Link to post
kristus Posted August 7, 2001 Oh, grandma. What big horns you have. That's so I shall be able to hang up curtains better. Oh crandma, what mig teeth you have. What? oh heh well those are my fake teeth. My dentist is a bit weird. Oh grandma. What a big Rocketlauncher you have. That's so I'll be able to FRAG YOU BETTER! 0 Share this post Link to post
ChaosOverlord Posted August 7, 2001 some lighting effects would be nice though, that's for sure.. 0 Share this post Link to post
Bloodshedder Posted August 7, 2001 There are no real lighting effects needed. It's dark outside, with stars in the sky. The buildings would cast no discernible shadow in any direction. I think if it's pitch black in the sky it should be darker than it is now. 0 Share this post Link to post
kristus Posted August 7, 2001 Blodshedder is right. Do ANY one of you see any strong light source that could cast any lighting effects? Answer: NO Now, go away. 0 Share this post Link to post
ChaosOverlord Posted August 7, 2001 That's goofy though... no light sources? Then why the hell are the damn textures so bright? It's as if they produced the light themselves, but hey, whatever... you go ahead and keep thinking that you can see buildings in the darkness, as you do in this screenshot.. and hey, i'm not dissin' Kurt.. he's a great level editor... I'm just sayin'. 0 Share this post Link to post
mewse Posted August 8, 2001 i'm sorry but the resolution on that sky is really, really poor compared to the rest of the screenshot 0 Share this post Link to post
