inferno_45 Posted September 29, 2001 well I like them. Besides, I have played nothing but Doom for the past year. You get kind of tired looking at the same sprites over and over... Don't get me wrong, I have played other games before. But this year I've been kinda involved in the Doom community. 0 Share this post Link to post
Guest Fanatic Posted September 29, 2001 I wrote a lot of "that crap that took over" in GothicDM2. What's so crappy about them? 0 Share this post Link to post

Guest Excalibur_Z Posted September 29, 2001 I personally don't play Doom with music anymore, I use cooperative sound with Winamp and play music off my videogame playlist (including the mp2s found right here on Doomworld's Music section). So, I don't really know what the GothicDM2 music sounds like. However I find metal and punk (and some others) to be too angry and depressing for my taste. Why do I want to hear all these songs about how we're all going to die and nothing matters? Doesn't exactly put a positive spin on your day, know what I mean? A song doesn't have to have lyrics to be depressing either, just so we can get that out of the way. Oh! The QDoom songs. I downloaded those a while back when they were first released. They all sounded alike to me. There were a couple good ones that stood out but mostly it seemed like generic metal - the music has no climax and it seems like it just keeps going and going, on and on... real tedious like. But hey, that's just my opinion. I know there are Doomers out there who like that sort of music, and someone like inferno_45 is going to throw a spaz to defend them. Just not my cup o' tea, is all I'm saying. 0 Share this post Link to post
inferno_45 Posted September 29, 2001 .............. There, did I spaz out? 0 Share this post Link to post
Guest gems Posted September 30, 2001 inferno: haha..youre the fag lookin at the guys dicks while watching porno shitface so shut the fuck up and dont refer to internet people as 'we' u fuckin geek. fanatic: they're too noisy, and i hate guitar type of instruments. and too agressive in a noisy type of way. i might have liked them if they werent so damn uptempo and different instruments and drums. also when i say they suck i didnt mean that the quality was crap, i like the 'melody' in some of the gdm2 songs but i hate the style..so theres nothing u should be offended of... by the way by guitar i meant electric guitar. 0 Share this post Link to post
kristus Posted September 30, 2001 Yes of course people have different tastes.. Personally I'm a die hard punk rocker.. and I know that most of the world just hates my music.. Ok I've forgotten what my point would be... 0 Share this post Link to post
Dan Posted September 30, 2001 What did you use to compose the music? -Dan 0 Share this post Link to post
Guest EvilFuse Posted September 30, 2001 All the music in gothicdm2 rocked... especially map16... god, the atmosphere of the level was incredible combined with the music. 0 Share this post Link to post
Metabolist Posted October 1, 2001 JR's music is more in a completely unique style; that is, if his Plutonia II music is anything to go by. It's closer to Shaw/Klem than Fanatic, although it's not incredibly like any of those three. 0 Share this post Link to post
