Cuss words?

One of the first orders of business is to decide whether or not this forum should bleep out cuss words. And, if so, what cuss words should we censor? How about other words like "Quake"? Heh...

No, i don't think that any cuss words matter at all. After all, this is a free country, right? I know my fuckin' first amendment rights! As for quake, its a good game but this is a DooM site. Just as long as you don't mention unreal... ohhh the agony of trying to play that game without mmx or what ever the hell you need to have a smooth framerate. As for the cussing, do what ever you want.

I'm kind of the minority here, since I'm one of the very few people around that doesn't use any form of cuss word. If you're asking my opinion, sure bleep 'em out!! We don't need to see them. It's annoying reading all those words. It's also thoroughly unenjoyable. All you'd do is replace the cuss letters in the word with an equal amount of asteriks. Do we really need to see these words bare? Really, it isn't really censorship. It's not keeping you from voicing your opinion or anything!! I'm sure when we see "Dip****" or "****face", we'll know exactly what they said, anyway. I'm just saying it's a much more pleasant visit with the words asterikized. Go for it!! I'll all for asterikisation!

I don't swear really myself. Sometimes swear words bother me, but most of the time it really doesn't. And in some cases pointless uses of such words can be funny. To me, anyway.

"Holy cunt!" We'd first have to decide what is or isn't a cuss word (que es, o no, una puteada). We won't all have the same opinion about the exact selection, you may well know. I could well use some non-conventional words if I deem it fit. When moderating, use your own judgement, follow your whim, scracth out what you don't like... I don't know why you asked... it must've been fun.

Except that, it won't be the job of the moderator. It'll be an automatic thing. You think he's going to seek and destroy every bad word manually?? Gee, to think the reason we haven't got the asterikization set up yet is because we can't think of any bad words. Wow, consider my mind blown..
