Guest ObiThrawn Posted August 18, 2000 I know there were a few DOOM books (my friend's brother got a hold of Knee Deep in the Dead) but how many are there? Any where can I find them (I made a half assed attempt today at a bookstore, but to no avail). ALSO, anyone know of any good Mythology books? I want to read a bit about some of the various Mythology on Hell (DOOM got me started on that =) Thanks. 0 Share this post Link to post
Peter Heinemann Posted August 18, 2000 Hi, I have posted this some weeks ago as a reply to another Doomers question: "Re(1):merchandise" , posted Sun 11 Jun 20:47 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Besides the Strategy-Books from Sybex, there were some novells published. I have got one of them: "Doom-Hell on Earth" its authors are Dafydd ab Hugh and Brad Linaweaver published by Pocket Star Books in August 1995 ISBN: 0-671-52562-X Its Cover looks like the box of DooM2 and it is embossed like the "Doom-Triology Box Set". 0 Share this post Link to post

Guest David_A Posted August 18, 2000 The definitive mythology of hell is probably Inferno by Dante Aligheri. Keep in mind that it's 14th century poetry, though... Not the easiest thing to read. 0 Share this post Link to post
Guest nox Posted August 18, 2000 hey, are those doom novels worth a read? 0 Share this post Link to post
Peter Heinemann Posted August 18, 2000 Forgotten to say, that there was a Doom-comic included in the Id-Anthology, a super Box-set with all Id-games from 1990 - 1996, plus a T-shirt, two dogtags, a telephone-card, a rolled poster and the Cyberdemon-figurine from Reaper. The comic is DC/Marvel style, but of terrible quality. Inside the CD-holder of the id Anthology there is a book binded which describes the history of Id and this one is very good. 0 Share this post Link to post
Guest OutAxDx Posted August 23, 2000 ROFL! I Remember reading a review on that comic like 5 years ago on some site. BAHAAHAHA!! They showed pictures of it, and explained just how stupid it was. IT WAS SOOOOOOO STUPID! hehehe. It was purely pointless and gay. 0 Share this post Link to post
