how do i pronounce your name?
is it Lin-Guy-Ka, Li-ngai-ka, or something else...
i know that this is really WAY off topic, but...what the hey...

I think is pronounced lin-güi-ssa, comes from portuguese or spanish linguiça, or sausage in english.

Oh god. we were discussing this the other day actually, and I can tell you it certainly is NOT linguisha, since that would sound pretty lame :) But it is from the spanish sausage.

I would spell out the pronunciation like "ling-gweek-uh" but without the 2 g's, I just put it like that so that you wouldn't attach the g to either the "lin" or the "week" but use it as a connective sound instead.

Of course, that probably isn't right.

Could this be the biggest Doom related name pronouncation issue after arguements regarding how you say 'id?'

I have a better question, what is Linguica's little icon picture of? Perhaps it is so obvious that I can't make it out but to me it looks like a chocolate cake laced with razor blades!
