i'm trying to play Jdoom
i got a voodoo banshee crad (3dfx) so i cant use opengl but i can use d3d for all the games

anyway i added the command line -gl drD3D.dll

drd3d.init: directx init failed. error. 145.

does anybody know howto solve this ?

I got it to work with my V3 using this:

doomsday -IWAD DOOM2.WAD -game jdoom.dll -gl drd3d.dll -bpp 16 -outlines

Since a Banshee and V3 are pretty damn similar, you might want to give it a shot.

I HAVE YOUR SOLUTION!!! [drum roll begins]

1. Get off your ass, not too fast now, don't wanna pass out :)
2. Slowly walk over to your nearest computer store, don't forget
your cash now, don't become monkey jizzing uncle fuckas like
a certain bi-curious captain ( ahab ) or his wankity *ahem*
PLANK SCRUBBING (he he) disgruntled cop (s999cop).
3. Slowly open the door and enter the store.
4. Ask "Do you guys have something better than the cheap
ass video card i got back in the 1950's?"
5. Buy the card he shows you.
6. Pay the money !THIS IS A MUST,CAN'T FORGET IT!
7. Go home.
8. Install it.
9. Be happy.
10. <optional> make a brown spot on your couch (joking)

Voodoo3's are cheap now d00d, even though they ain't that good they still be the hell outta your dry old granny of a voodoo1.

:)!

you need to enable md2's in the jdoom ini file, you'll need around 16meg of ram for the md2's aswell.
