possible ingame music

There was a link on this forum to a video, with game footage only from the legacy video made by http://giga.de. The music is cool as hell. Is this leacked Doom III music, or from a past game like Doom I or II, or Quake I, II, or III? hAs anyone heard it before? What do you guys think?

Haha, that's from Quake3. Open up your pak0.pk3 (using a zip extraction util) and play sonic2.wav I think it is..

Too bad they're using video from the 5fps Quicktime movie. Hmm, I had been thinking about doing something similar combining stuff from the MacWorld, Legacy and ShakyCam™ videos...

they did the music for Quake3. at least sonic2.wav.. they have the song right there, "Noize Purge".

yeah, the quake3 soundtrack sucked ass, and the music in the video isnt from quake 3. if i found out that sm did THAT music id change my mind

Here's how I am going to prove you wrong:

Step 1) I go to http://www.sonicmayhem.com/music.html. I scroll down and the site claims Sonic Mayhem had done 6 tracks for the game Quake III Arena from id Software.

Step 2) I find a link, http://www.sonicmayhem.com/mp3/Noize%20purge.mp3 which the page I am visiting claims is a sound sample off Quake3, by Sonic Mayhem.

Step 3) The song is the same one which can be found in pak0.pk3 in the music folder, named sonic2.wav.

Step 4) So far I have established Sonic Mayhem did the song "Noize Purge" (filenamed sonic2.wav in the Quake3 release) for the game Quake III Arena.

Step 5) I play the video bootlegtrader linked to when he started this thread and it's the same song.
