A maned striped mammal (Proteles cristatus) of southern and eastern Africa that resembles the related hyenas and feeds chiefly on carrion and insects. The aardwolf has sort of become the mascot of Id, appearing on Tom's Gotta Lists and the Commander Keen 6 Hint Sheet. What the fuck.
