Doom 3 System requirements?

Carmack recently said that doom 3 will run on a GEFORCE ONE- as in 1 the first one

do you think this system will cut it at decent fps, like 35+?

Yes I think you will get 35+ FPS.

Carmack once said he was getting 30fps on a fast machine with a GeForce3. Don't know which settings or resolution he was running the game at, but yeah if you've got a GF3ti500 or upward you can count on running the game reasonable smooth even with all the effects on.

I'm just in the process of upgrading here, do you think an Athlon XP2100+, 512 of PC2100 and a GF4 Ti4600 will be fun with D3...? Since I'm kind of upgrading with it in mind ( plus Q3 will play like a motherfucker on that rig I know :-) )...

if your upgrading for doom3, a good way to see if your setup will be ok for it is to play UT2k3. this is the closest tech to doom3 from what i have heard.

Interesting and/or good point, but can't they have lower specs when making a game for the X-box since it's hardware isn't dynamic, so they could do more high level programming on it getting a super ultra sexy speed increase?
