Guest PFCGray Posted March 5, 2001 Just a quickie for all you guys-have any of you played Perdition's Gate for Doom 2? If you have, what do you think and what's your favorite level? I thought it kicked a$$ is a way and my fave level is Map31 which I like to call "Perdition's Gate" since none of the levels are named, just really long statements. 0 Share this post Link to post
Zeratul 982 Posted March 5, 2001 "Perdition's Gate"..... It sounds a little familiar. I have played a couple of megawads, but I don't remember if I played that one or not. How about "Memento Mori 2" or "Requiem"? Those are my favorite ones. 0 Share this post Link to post
Vorpal Posted March 5, 2001 Perdition's Gate is one of the best megawads... also one of the rarest. The levels do have names. My favorite levels are 8 (the waste tunnels) and 14 (Transfer Locking Area). 0 Share this post Link to post
Sir Fragsalot Posted March 5, 2001 Where could I possibly find that wad? 0 Share this post Link to post
Guest JelloBiafra Posted March 5, 2001 I would also like to know where I could find that particular wad. 0 Share this post Link to post
Zeratul 982 Posted March 5, 2001 Like I said, it sounds familiar. Maybe because I saw it once in ftp.cdrom.com, but that site is temporarily unavailable. There's NOTHING there. I think I downloaded it once, but it wasn't the wad. It was the installation program for it, but I didn't know that. I thought it was some kind of mistake, so unfortunately, I deleted it. (Which was damn right stupid on my part) So now, I would also like to know where to get it...again. 0 Share this post Link to post
Peter Heinemann Posted March 5, 2001 If the name of the zip archive is "PerdGate.zip" then it seems that I have it on one of my WAD compilation CDs (like D!Zone). I would have to look into it on which one... I have a huge list of wads printed out as a hardcopy for easy reading. Maybe a piece for uploading when ftp.cdrom will be back. I will see how big the zip is and come back ... 0 Share this post Link to post

PerdGate.zip, 1MB and the link works: http://www.3ddownloads.com/showfile.php3?file_id=7665 0 Share this post Link to post

In perdgate.txt, it said something like there was a full 32-map version, and PFC said his favorite map on PerdGate was map31?? That means he got the full version from somewhere... 0 Share this post Link to post
