How about these features

Here are some features that could easily be in new zdoom or other ports (as I can never expect any patches to doom2.exe any more).

-Levels beyond the 32 standard. (99 and beyond?)
-Transisitional messages between any levels (by pwad design)
-More weapon setups like shotgun (two guns to one number).
-Capability for more monster types.
-More frame numbers to work with (haven' you ever just not had any extra?)

There are tons more but this is all I can think of at the moment. Sure all wads made for this wont work with original doom exe's, but most zdoom wads don't work with it anyway.

I was hoping for some things such as:
-Weapon 9 being the Pentagram weapon (Why not?)
-When you beat the game, the ability to turn the enemies when you view them

Those all are in zdoom, not sure about the extra monster types though.

I have yet to see any wad with beyond 32 levels. Any wad using extra frame slots, or any wads with extra weapon types (more than 9 weapons).

Edge is just kinda screwy so I tend to erk away from it.

Skull tag seems to be the best bet for fuller development of doom at the moment.
