elbryan42 Posted April 13, 2001 Week 4 of toons are up! Since it has been a month of toons thus far, i'm adding a new series. My friend made vcds of the popular anime series "Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040" for me, so I made them into divx for download. Awesome quality! You must check it out. Each episode keeps getting better. So far I have 18 of 26 eps, but once I'm caught up with school, I'll get more. FYI each weeks episodes will is a cd's worth (590-650 megs). And sorry for the lack of updates lately. I just haven't had the time. But once I get some time to download stuff, it'll go up on the site and I'll let yall know. By the way, of all of the toons you guys downloaded, what are your faves? Have hi-speed and wanna put up some of your own? Please let me know! 0 Share this post Link to post
Zeratul 982 Posted April 13, 2001 This is not about the update, but about uploading. I'm having big time problems trying to upload. I was trying to upload a zip called "stonepak" that contained the original wad, the starcraft wad, and the psx/N64 wad. Altogether, the size of the zip was about 4.5 MB. I can never get the whole file to upload without losing the ftp server connection. So I installed BulletProof hoping that it would improve it, but it didn't. After 2 attempts, the first one stopped at 38%, the second stopped at 73%, and it always started over and didn't resume like it said it could. So I uninstalled BulletProof. It's very frustrating trying to upload anything without it timing out for no reason. 0 Share this post Link to post

elbryan42 Posted April 13, 2001 OK. I uploaded a 100 meg file to each of your dirs (using your account) and it worked great. Did you have this problem before? What type of connection do you have. I'm pretty stumped. Does anyone have any ideas? Any help will be appreciated. 0 Share this post Link to post
Zeratul 982 Posted April 13, 2001 Great... I guess I already know the answer then: This computer has a 56k modem that only does 28.8 KB/sec. or lower. The avg. uploading transfer rate is 1.5 KB/sec. The avg. downloading transfer rate is 2.5 KB/sec. 0 Share this post Link to post
elbryan42 Posted April 13, 2001 ohhh... 56k is anything but fast and reliable. time to upgrade dude. 0 Share this post Link to post
