Why doesnt Zdoom 1.23 work successfully 4 me?

I cant run zdoom 1.23 successfully , i replace every new zdoom files instead of zdoom 1.22, but it says the port something or run error time ###...., can anyone help me solve this problem

Check if you have zdoom.cfg or zdoom.ini, if the former, delete it
