Zeratul 982 Posted April 24, 2001 I think I fixed the problem with ZDoom unexpectedly crashing over here, but I want to make sure that I positively did. What I THINK happened was some kind of conflict between zdoom.ini and zdoom.cfg. One file's line "set_soundchannels ##" was different from the other. One was 16 and the other was 24. I made the lines identical, hid the .ini file, but kept the .cfg file unhidden. I began playing my wad with one of my sound wads once again and got all the way from map01 to map12 without it crashing. If it crashes again sometime, You'll probably hear me "complain" about it once again. Now I want to know which file that I should keep. The .ini or the .cfg? 0 Share this post Link to post
Espi Posted April 24, 2001 Keep 'em both, I know I have both there, and it works fine. I don't know much about soundcards but the problem might have been it trying to use 24 channels... 0 Share this post Link to post
Arioch Posted April 24, 2001 Delete zdoom.cfg if you never intend to use 1.22 again. 0 Share this post Link to post
