hard drive sapce

ok today i got a message saying my hard drive space was used up. that is impossible because i had atleast 1.5 gigs left on it. well i checked it out and it said i only had 300 megs left. i deleted some stuff but still have less than 1.5, what is going on i hope i do not got a virus.

Run scandisk, it will say "hd space is being misreported-fix?" YES

The problem is that you can only keep it at that screen until Scandisk is finished don't forget, or else it will start all over from the start.

like people below say, run scandisk and check free space isnt being misreported, but also remember if you have linux installed then part of the hard drive is now in the linux partition
