Totaly pissed off WinDEU user who needs help.

Does anyone know Why WinDEU says all the sectors I create are not closed when I know for a fact there are? and why does the "Make Door" command never make a functioning door?

Look around for DEUSF here at DOOM World or CDROM.COM.

It has some functions in it to clean unused sidedefs and sectors, which may be the source of your problem if you have been deleteing a lot of lines and sectors. DOOMCad does that as well, it deletes stuff from view, but not from the WAD's data tables and causes problems like unclosed sectors.

Yea, but it does it if i create a blank level and but a basic room too. Doors never function right either. Where can I get WadAuthor?

To be honest, I downloaded a lot of editors and tested them to see which one works best and I believe Deepsea 10.20 works the best. It works on Windows, no errors, works perfectly, and has none of the problems that WinDeu had. Plus, it is pretty easy to use. Give it a try!

It just might be that you have a buggy version? I've had similar problems.
1.Exit and go back in. That might do some good.
2.Get version 5.24. I think it's the latest one.
Although its old, I still like to use it, becasue it's very simple and yet complex (for its age). But then again, that's only my humble opinion...

Actually 5.9 was the last version but it's buggy as hell.
5.24 is a lot more stable. It's never crashed on me.
The make door from sector command works just fine in
it also. I just think this tool is a lot easier to use
than other editors, though you still need Deth or Zeth
for special effects.
