Guest mewcat23 Posted November 27, 2000 There are something way in whatever source port, specially in edge to make the death monster stable position ? I mean when a monster is dead is on a special position but if we turn around him the death sprite turn too, there are something way to add additionnal sprites for the death so when we turn around the death monster we can view the death in multiple angle ? like quake, and I talk it with others things too like candles, statues etc.. 0 Share this post Link to post
Guest Fanatic Posted November 28, 2000 Just add rotations to his death frames, versus using 0. For example, look at the Imp's idle frames, just TROO*. TROOA1 - TROOA5, that is a single rotation for one movement. Do the same with the death frames. The first death frame starts with TROOI0, the zero meaning "same from all directions". So to make a dead monster not rotate when you run around it, you'd have to add sprites to fill out the angles. It will look bad because instead of rotating it will flip. Check the Wintex help file for more info on sprites. 0 Share this post Link to post
sirgalahadwizar Posted November 29, 2000 only problem is that it will got to be a mega-ass load of sprites. That's about 8 frames x 5 (if using A1, a2a8, a3a7, etc. format) or 8x8 (if using a1, a2, a3, etc. format) you could end up with well over 120 frames for each character, and I am assuming that this will be from a 3d model (because you would be crazy to make it out of handdrawn sprites). 0 Share this post Link to post
