Windows Dmapedit?

Recommended Posts

Guest PrimeSide

So far, the best editor I've found is DMAPEDIT. However, it is a pain to restart to MS-DOS every time I need to use it. I checked the site (http://babtech.com/) and it says the current author is working on porting it to Windows, which is good news. BUT, it has said that for awhile and so far I've seen no progress reports. Does anyone know the status of the project?

Also, does anyone know of any editors that can run under windows (as a windows program or a DOS box) and are similar to DMAPEDIT? I already tried WadAuthor, but I don't like it (Took me over 20 minutes to do what I could do in DMAPEDIT in under five minutes). Thanks for any help!

DmapEdit is a good dos editor. I thought he was working on a windows compatible version using the same developer code as Zeth?

DeePsea is similar in concept to DmapEdit. Indeed, DeePsea and DmapEdit borrowed some ideas from each other<g>. You can download the shareware at www.sbsoftware.com.
