skadoomer Posted January 24, 2001 I think you can do this by putting a sound in you wadfile called dschngn. In doom, the chaingun sound is generated by looping the pistol. This sound file is the name for the chaingun sound (as seen in dehacked) and if you try replacing it, you should get a different chaingun sound instead of that repeated pistol sound. If that dosn't work, you could try a hack similar to the one used in batman doom for their chaingun (if you've ever played that TC) Just put a sound codepointer (like the ssg open )before the chaingun shot codepointer.
