DooMBoy Posted July 5, 2002 So, what's your Internet Connection? Mine's a standard 56k. 0 Share this post Link to post
Sharessa Posted July 5, 2002 Cable, which is pretty fast, but it just decides to die every few days for a couple hours and there's nothing we can do about it. 0 Share this post Link to post
Sephiroth Posted July 5, 2002 i have 56k however due to shity lines(in house) it runs like 28kbps max! anyway i am planning to get DSL or stalite soon, hell i gto a job could do it now. but i will do it after i build my new system 0 Share this post Link to post

AndrewB Posted July 6, 2002 A v.92 56k. 300 free hours a month for $30/month. It's the best we can freaking do. 0 Share this post Link to post
Kid Airbag Posted July 6, 2002 56k, but at least it's free cause my dad has a job with AT&T Worldnet. 0 Share this post Link to post
cph Posted July 6, 2002 /me notes that his 14.4 modem is off the scale 0 Share this post Link to post
Spike Posted July 6, 2002 A 56k that refuses to work at said speed. Plus Jay and I share a connection, so the speed tends to depend on what she's doing at the time :) 0 Share this post Link to post
Dark-tenshi Posted July 6, 2002 DSL or slow DSL.either of these hmm,DSL and Cable, which one should be faster? 0 Share this post Link to post
DooMBoy Posted July 6, 2002 Cable is supposedly 50 times faster than a standard 56k, and DSL is 100 times faster than 56k, IIRC. 0 Share this post Link to post
Da_Esco² Posted July 6, 2002 A 56k, which usually says connected at 112K (which bascially counts for shit), and downloads at an average of 4-5k a second on files. /me looks at poll results Well.... at least it's good to see that I'm not the only one who is extremely "deprived" in life (internet connection wise I mean... heh). :P Cable is supposedly 50 times faster than a standard 56k, and DSL is 100 times faster than 56k, IIRC. ........... not quite, Doomboy. 0 Share this post Link to post
IMJack Posted July 6, 2002 My folks have a limited DSL connection they got from Qwest. It's god speed, but it limits you to two hours of uptime at one session. If you use the whole two hours, you gotta wait at least five minutes to reconnect. That, and it CAN'T GET ANY SORT OF DECENT SPEED OFF OF TELEFRAGGED'S SITES WHICH MEANS I HAVE TO OPEN EVERY NEW THREAD IN A FORUM IN IT'S OWN SEPARATE WINDOW AND IT TAKES FIVE FUCKING MINUTES TO LOAD THE WHOLE SHEBANG AND BY THAT TIME I'M ALREADY SO FUCKING BEHIND THAT EACH THREAD DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE ANYMORE!!!!!!!111 ... sorry, had to vent. In short, DW's loading terribly slow on this comp. 0 Share this post Link to post
pritch Posted July 6, 2002 I'm stuck with Freeserve on a 56k atm. It is especially gay because it disconnects me every two hours. We pay £14.99 monthly for free weekend and evening internet calls. BTW Dewmboy, why is there a none option? How the fuck else qould you be viewing this page....? Um,You know what goes here 0 Share this post Link to post
IMJack Posted July 6, 2002 Maybe he meant people who are logging on from the office/school/library and are too cheap to buy their own 'Net access. 0 Share this post Link to post
DooMBoy Posted July 7, 2002 Quite right, Jack. So, pritch, think before you speak. 0 Share this post Link to post

Zaldron Posted July 8, 2002 Well I have a Cisco router that lets me access the internet via DSL. However, I DON'T OWN ANY FREAKING COMPUTERS RIGHT FUCKING NOW. 0 Share this post Link to post
Little Faith Posted July 8, 2002 Well, it's fast enough when it works, but it constantly just shorts out (the same thing affects my stationary phone). One of the reasons why I don't multiplay over the internet. 0 Share this post Link to post
Melee Posted July 8, 2002 I just got cable a couple of days ago. Now with lightning fast connection i can view dirty pictures up to 13.5 times faster. 0 Share this post Link to post
