Dima Posted December 12, 2000 What latest games really scared the shit out of you?? System Shock 2 wasn't scary at all and Nocturne wasn't scary either! I don't rememember any game since Doom that really scared the shit out of me! Anyway I think Doom 3 will be VERY scary! This first guy (not American) that saw the engine at it's earliest stage said that he truly thinks that we are for another level of fear! I definetly hope Doom 3 will be SCARY! And since there are no more lightmaps and the light is REAL I have no doubt that the game will be the SCARIEST game since Doom (even scarier)! 0 Share this post Link to post
Zaldron Posted December 12, 2000 The scariest game i ever player was Thief 2. No, seriously. Im not talking of "oooh, im scared of the dark and the monsters" feel. But trying to solve one of those missions with no saving, max difficulty (no killings or spotting allowed), and with a guard that just passed by and didn´t touched me for 2 inches, well, it´s pretty hard. Guest JudgeDooM Posted December 12, 2000 Well, Half-Life scared me a little, because of the things that are exploding in the scenery or falling, you know. The Demo of Severance: Blade of Darkness scared me also. Rogue Spear makes me jump off my chair anytime I get killed, it's so unexpected. As for Doom, it scared me a lot on the Super Nintendo version, with the music off. Malice Rancor Posted December 13, 2000 I don't think any game will scare me as much as DooM did, I was only 13 when it came out, so it easier to get scared back then. I didn't know who Id was, I never played a FPS before, so it was also kind of mysterious. Also I didn't know anyone else who knew anything about it, except the person who showed it to me. I only played it when I went to Kanses to visit family and friends, which was once a year. Other then that I didn't have a chance to play DooM. So everytime I even heard a computer boot up, I would get the wierd creepy feeling of DooM. Which latest a few years. Then I final got DooM for playstation. And just barely got DooM for my own computer about 3 months ago. I sold my Playstation, so I had too. I also started getting my very first dosage of depression when I was 13. After moving to Utah because of a step dad that I despised and leaving all my family and friends I started feeling really sick in my head. The Cyberdemon level really scared the hell out of me. When I saw the Barons that were sacrificed, I knew there was something out there. And once I heard the crushing sound of the Cybs robotic leg, I froze. 0 Share this post Link to post
