deadnail Posted January 9, 2001 1Ghz Thunderbird with only 128 megs of ram? Ouch. You're really undershooting your system's capabilities. Other than that, the only real thing you're missing is a good video card. I would wait a while and snag an nVidia card a little bit before Doom 3 comes out. Gonna be a while so don't waste some money on a GeForce 2. 0 Share this post Link to post
Guest Billy_Banjo Posted January 9, 2001 Mmmm thanks 123 ram: i was on a budget u see (my TBird cost me a fortune as it is) yeah i admit my 3d is a little poop but quake3 and giants run with no slowdown at all but i will end up getting a new 3d 0 Share this post Link to post
NiGHTMARE Posted January 10, 2001 Saying that Quake 3 runs with no slowdown at all on your computer isn't really saying very much. It did that on my old AMD-233, 96 megs RAM and Voodoo 3 2000 :) 0 Share this post Link to post
Lüt Posted January 10, 2001 Ha, man, you're already WAAAAY outdated. Apologies to ya, sucker. 0 Share this post Link to post
Lord FlatHead Posted January 10, 2001 At least try to disguise your boasting as a relevant Doom3 post - looks much better. GeForce2 ownz joo !!! (or something like that) 0 Share this post Link to post
Guest Jadar Posted January 16, 2001 I like mine better... 900mhz AMD Thunderbird (like the 100mhz makes a dif, I'll just overcloak) 256 SDRAM, Geforce2 64MB DDR... 0 Share this post Link to post
