a couple posts down when whats-his-face announced the doom movie and eveyone started nameing actors. i had a say in this but i felt if i put it there nobody would see it so he i am.
you where all wrong, by the way, the best actor for the doom guy would have to be bruce campbell from evil dead. it must have been so obvius that you missed it.

It's gotta be some nameless dude. I don't want a previous acting history or reputation to be associated with the actor, it adds a certain predictability to the role. I'd like to see somebody who I've never seen in a movie before take the role.

Cons: Can't speak clean English.

Van Damme:

Pros: If there's any hand-to-hand combat in the movie.
Cons: Everything else.

Bruce Campbell:

Pros: None.
Cons: Everything. Just not his type of film.

As usual I'll agree with Lüt and say that the character that takes this role should be a large clean English speaking light brown haired man with an abnormally well built body and a sharp face.

This will probably be an acting death role, as from this point on the actor will always be associated with this film.

Hmm. Schwartzenegger has made some of my favorite movies. I don't really think his accent and hollywood background could ruin the movie.

I don't really care if he's well-known or the fact that he speaks with an accent. It doesn't matter. You can expect good acting when you see the name schwartzenegger!

Oddly enough, I think End of Days was one of his only decent movies. I enjoyed some of the other ones in the way that they just set out to entertain and not bother with how cheesy they'd look to a person who is expecting something logical.

You can probably find the nameless guy in some goofy bodybuilding magazine - I saw some dude on the cover of one a few months ago who coulda been the perfect doom guy.

The only actor I can think of off the top of my head who *might* be able to pull off an OK doom guy is Kurt Russell is "soldier" form. The personalities seem to match.

Russel Crowe would be alright for the movie. He is the only known actor i know that looks atleast alittle like the Doom guy. Offcourse hes gonna have to wear the American accent.

P.S, Arnold Shwarz-whatever would suck big time if he was the Doom guy. Just imagine Arny saying 'Hell-Spawn'. It would sound pretty fucking silly- "Heil-Sporn"

Bruce Campbell would be awesome, I think Doom would just be sorta like Evil Dead in space anyways. The only bad part is that if you wanted Campbell in a movie, you would have to have Sam Rami as the director since Campbell seems to be unable to be in anything not directed by him. But most of Rami's movies and stuff suck. The evil dead series was the only cool thing hes done. Xena/Hercules sucked.

Another choice, like someone said earlier, would be bruce Wilis. Not only is he a good action star, but hes also a good actor (5th Element, 6th Sense), and he looks like the doom guy at the end of episode 4.

Arnie would be good, but he's a bit too chisled and his accent would bug me.
