MacDoom 2 Multiplayer: Help!

Recently I decided to take another look at Doom 2. I have really enjoyed playing it on a Sony Playstation in the past. However, I can't seem to find a way to play a networked game between Macs usiong Appletalk over an ethernet network. Please advise.
