Video games to play while drunk?

Recommended Posts

Guitar Hero or Rockband also provide excellent entertainment, where the increasing cacophony of your ongoing failures is audible.

Any games that you can play with other drunk friends. Had a good drunk gaming session with a friend once. We played Mario Party then some Hexen 64

PROTIP: Moderation isn't just when your threads get sent to post hell.

Lol, I can drink about three sips of red wine before conking out, so it's really hard to use personal experience to understand the fun of alcoholic intoxication. No one has ever seen me drunk because I fall asleep before it can happen.

I keep drinking until I play with the fire extinguisher. I woke up one morning and was told to look in the oven. Lo and behold, a pizza pan covered in pizza sauce, cheese, and pepperoni. Kicker is, there was no crust!

I bet this thread would have been helled if alcohol had been replaced with a much less harmful, but much more taboo substance.

taboo substance.

Civilization games

Fallout 4 (also other open-world games. Skyrim for sure; seemed extremely fitting with the long loading screens that produced that smokey effect. Maybe they know what's up...)

Doom (Especially when modding it.)

Sim City

Total War games

Also, I wouldn't feel right playing some of those aforementioned games drunk.

Do you mean talking about and pontificating on an illegal substance? You'd probably be right.

I'm just saying, the rather ugly things alcohol does to the psyche is a lot easier to celebrate for many people, than stuff that is done less often and is seen by outsiders as a catalyst for insanity. Anyway, sorry for the derailment.

I tried fnaf 2 when I drank a lot but was too drunk to put on the freddy mask

Tried the first one while pissed, kept forgetting to close the doors before checking the cameras.

When it comes to TES and Fallout I find these games the least favorable regardless of them being the newest, I would pretty much rather play Morrowind with the overhaul mod or even Oblivion than Skyrim, and Fallout New Vegas rather than Fallout 4.

I just find Skyrim and Fallout 4 very disappointing due to how reduced they are in terms of staple gameplay features and RPG mechanics which the previous games had, and even being drunk won't be enough to make me accept them the way they are.

Anything that I'd play while sober. Usually beer is involved if I'm playing local coop Doom with friends.
It's been a while since I had marijuanas. I found it to be fun for action games. It made rpgs and strategy games a chore. Other times I'd get overly analytical about certain aspects/mechanics of the game and all enjoyment would cease.

Every now and then I'll visit my chronic friend and he will convince me to inhale and we'll fire up something in his extensive Playstation collection.

I was good little boy who was told to never drink alcohol, and a normal person doesn't get drunk while playing games

On a serious note, Amagon seems to be a good candidate. "That's it, no more peanut butter nacho lasagna banana-cream-pudding pizza with Strawberry Pop-Tarts after midnight." Translation: That game is too weird.

That's a pretty good stoner list, but if my forum lore is up to date... probably not a very good DMT-user list.

When Guitar Hero was the new fad, drinking and GH was usually the best way to play it. Outside of that, I can get easily frustrated if I start messing up at video games, so I have to stick to ones I'm very familiar with if I've had a few drinks. Lots of retro games, Left 4 Dead, and Black Ops 1.

Guitars and being drunk don't mix. I know, I've played real guitar for 27 years. I can play relaxed with about 4 or 5 beers in me, but if I get DRUNK, forget about it.

Spelunky. Gamepad WILL fly this time.

p.s. I played some confusing Earth Cave WADs while drunk on one bottle of Bayleys this time. Have long time to do this, get drunk. Which is good I guess.

Any type of sandbox game. Minecraft, GTA, Garry's Mod, Terraria, etc. I'd recommend GTA for mild drunkenness and Garry's Mod for full-blown shitfaced-ery.
Really bad games are good to laugh at when sloshed. Even Desert Bus becomes fun for about 15 minutes and shit like the CD-i games become comedy gold.

Can't game while drinking. I get motion sick. Don't care for alcohol and rarely touch the stuff anyway.

This is the best game to play on shrooms, but pretty fun to play while drunk too. Makes an okay small party game, despite being SP, given that mistakes/deaths (drinks) are likely, especially if you rotate the camera, which is apparently a thing in this game (multiples of 45 degrees). One of those games where you find out that you are your own worst enemy. Also very comical.

Glover (64 or PS1)

Basically any indie "horror" game.
