Well, we can't call it DOOM either. It would be confusing with Classic Doom.

Technically Doom (2016) is the correct term, but who would want to write that every time?

It would be cool to see someone make a Classic DOOM mod, classic Doom maps in id Tech 6.
It would be cooler if it was an easter egg...

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I want more of Cyb's MassMouth. Or something similar his "Void" wad. Both were lots of fun although I can already assume that SnapMap isn't that robust, so here's hoping for more in-depth editor in the future.

Or I could just get off my lazy ass and learn to be a better mapper and allow myself to be influenced by his work. But most of my ideas kind of suck so this isn't likely.

He's kind of misquoting. Each weapon has a "Mod", which is essentially a secondary fire which does something a bit different.

To clarify even further, iD said that each weapon will have multiple mods. I'm not sure if that means mods can be compounded, or if you just have to choose one at a time to use.
