GZDoomBuilder - pasting one level into another

Recommended Posts

Is there anything I should watch out for when pasting one level into another? My laptop gets a little slow in visual mode once a level reaches about 16,000 sides, or 1.5MB in size, or something like that, and I thought the best way to proceed would be to start the next section of the level as a separate file and then combine the two.

I don't think there should be problems, the only possible issue seems to make conflicting tags but there's an option in the pasting settings that renumbers them automatically.

Generally, it should be OK to do. It might fail to work alright only if both map's formats are different (and conversion fails) or if the new map becomes so big that it exceeds limits of the map format.
