glboom+ and power options

So I recently bought the Doom collection in a steam sale and have playing Doom 2 through glboom+. Overall, it has been a great experience with little to no problems except for one annoying issue that keeps occurring: after playing with glboom+, my power options for Windows become inaccessible. As in, if I have the power options in a window, that window closes. If I click on power options, nothing opens up. I hope I'm explaining this well, as the only way to fix it is to reboot every time. (The reason I need the power options is I put it into high performance mode when I play games, then down into balance when I'm not.)

Does this happen with other GL ports as well? The first thing you need to determine if it's only glboom+ or a general problem.
