What's the recommended WAD editor for Linux?

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to get back into WAD making (last time I did it was probably in the 90s) but I'm not sure what the "latest and greatest" WAD editor for Linux is. I have no problems running Doom Builder 2 in WINE if necessary though.

SLADE3 is not only a map editor, but a wad content editor too, which you'll need when adding custom music / textures / anything other than maps into your wad anyway.

You can also try Eureka Editor, which is a map editor only, but a good one too.

If you're willing to use a Windows-only editor on a virtual machine, then GZDoom Builder is the most advanced map editor.
