The obvious lack of ethics in gaming "journalism" exposed by the actions of one con artist which upon further digging exposed mass ethical corrpution among the entire industry, then an attempt to hijack the issue by SJW retards and Feminazis and their cucks, all compounded by rampant trollage on both sides. It's also worth noting that the whole thing started as a smear campaign on some women by her ex and his friends on 4chan.

Seriously, it was just a bunch of stuff to make her look awful and it absolutely exploded. While there was probably some truth to the whole fiasco and some people who genuinely supported the supposed purpose of GamerGate, it mostly just brought the absurd amount of toxicity in the gaming community as a whole to the public eye.

The RationalWiki article is entirely correct about what it really was, and how the pretended scandal is completely fake (if you accuse someone of sleeping around for positive reviews, at least choose to accuse her of having slept with people who have actually reviewed her games). It has always been nothing more than a harassment campaign, and anyone claiming the contrary is either a troll or a deluded idiot.

If you want to read something about gamergate that isn't a complete waste of your brains, read this, it is a thousand times more interesting.
