So, I made a thing. . .

 

I've been incredibly sick the last few days, but I've always wanted to try and make one of those little scenes I see people make for portfolios and stuff. I hacked together some textures, played around with lightining. ..  Total time was something like 5 hours >_> Still, first shot at it. Pretty pleased.

 

I'll probably revisit the brutalist style for a future map, and I like the pallete I wound up working with- they work well together!

Some shots from map pack i work on, for Eternity Engine. Use last build to test (359). Lots of portals, slopes and some cool stuff from EE. Align floors/ceilings still pain in the ass. UDMF format. Edit for EE is really fun, have great time crating the map (learning, trial and error, etc.) Map pack will contain 6-7 maps, but i hope i could release for test first map on a week or two.

Well, this is actually my biggest problem with mapping. I plan to make a map that I can finish within, let's say 3-4 weeks, but then this happens and I keep adding more and more sectors :)

Yes, it's a SM right there. But this setup doesn't work weel gameplay-wise and will probably be modified.

Oh wow, this looks great! You've got some seriously awesome architecture going on there, I love it.

 

(Also, looks like there are a couple spots where texture alignment could use a bit of attention, like the pink skin wall around the sloped opening here.)
