i haven't played doom in a while, so i decided to play through the first game and also started working on a wad shortly after

Actually kind of happy about this one.  Still have less than a year under my belt with wad building but this might shape up to be my first release.

Still busy with The Loose End.

Slowly the map is getting filled up with all sorts of tricks and traps. Made some good progress on the center area in both level design and monster setup. Still plenty to do of course. Also updated the screenshots with the most recent changes (texturewise and other)

A couple of those rooms have light switches that can be toggled on/off, if that’s what you mean. I plan on trying to keep it consistent so that there is stuff to fiddle with in every area.

I was meaning OpenGl lights, with a dark overall lighting around 96-112 indoors, 128-160 daytime outside. It would create a great atmosphere & make monsters more dangerous...

Started work on a new mapset, 9 maps planned so far. Focus is on lots of detailing and shadows. Limit removing, only stock textures, skies and music - absolutely nothing that you can't find in the IWADS. We'll see how it goes.
