That ceiling looks weird, mostly because I see / use it as a floor texture, is that intended to be some sort of ventilation system?

For the last 2 days or so i've been working on a sandbox style city map similar to gm_bigcity but i haven't made much progress considering that the map is going to be 24576x24576 MP across because im making enterable buildings like a fast food to make it a little more complex..

Also in-game i just noticed that the bridge has weird 2D textures on it for some reason and i have no idea why since last time it did not.

Another area mostly completed. It's a pretty dark area so I removed a lot of the monsters for a clearer view. Working hard to finish this wad.

Non-twid and non-speedmapped, heh. That narrows it down quite a bit!

 

Let's see.. there's E1A4 and E1A5 of Adventures of Square, E1M1 of HYMN, MAP08 of Mutiny (joint map with jmickle), the two single map releases I put out in 2017 (The Ledge & Waste Abandonment which sort of serve as a demo for my current project), and of course...DAD WAD from last year. With some luck and hard work there should hopefully be a few more released in the coming months.

 

There are others from before BTSX but honestly they aren't that good and not worth anyone's time :P

@PaveraEh...nothing I didn't find with a search...oh well. Looking forward...will the 2017 levels be included in this new project, if so revised or as is? Those are definitely the main draw you have out ATM given I've played Square already (those were great BTW)

@Nabernizer Hot damn, this looks rather unique and great. Love those glass light fixtures (?) hanging from the ceiling, as well as the cityscape. Good stuff, keep it up.

This room still feels too square, but gradually coming to life (Spending too much time exercising and working and not enough working on Doom!)

That wasn't intentional but wow you're right, that extremely looks like a seahorse. It's got the body and tail and everything.

At least week ago i decided to stop working on my sandbox city map since i got tired of working on it and instead began working on another map instead.

 

This time im trying to make it more gameplay focused with level layouts that don't really make sense instead of making the map semi-realistic and while i've made quite a bit of progress on the map, my biggest achievement so far has been managing to at least vaguely comprehend how DECORATE works so i could make a custom boss using sprites i made myself and it actually turned out decent with the exception of weird sprite rotations (And i don't really know how to fix that issue.).

Oh also making the 20-30 lines of code the actor consists of took me 2 HOURS and im pretty sure anyone who knew what they were doing could not only do it 5 minutes but they could also do it better than me.

This is pretty much the first time i've ever done any programming and wrote any code ever though.

 

I also managed to make a truck out of sectors and managed to do as good of a job at it as it can be done without resorting to 3D floors, and i managed to get a truck 3D model i had made to work without crashing my game or causing extreme lag after somebody cleaned up the model in Blender and sent the cleaned up version to me
