I always find it interesting when people draw they're maps out on paper first. IDK why, I've tried it on graph paper but then I lose track of all the tags I want to place and such.

So here so far Pictures of my Map for the Megawad Project.
I am about 70% done and the "done" Stuff still needs Polish.

 

It is an ancient Tempel carved into a Mountain found by the UAC which settled a Base in there to make Experiments with the demonic Technologies.

First post, also working on my first WAD to get the hang of doom modding. I'd say my primary goal with this is to make graphics, music, maps layouts, and palettes that give a surreal feel to the maps in this WAD, but I'm learning as I go lol.

More work on the harbor level...

 

I have used GZDoom's features more extensively here while trying not to run away too much from the original DOOM feeling. I like the original DOOM's roughness, so i only polished it a bit.

Decided to go on a "evening" color on the containers area so that the lights have a nicer effect

Progress through a work-in-progress sewers system (i really love sewer themes).

Still very WIP but I'm quite pleased with how this one going. Trying to make more of an effort on variety of height, theme and making the design a bit more interconnected, and the outside bit is shaping up nicely.

I learned how to make portals so this has become my favourite place in my whole project so far

 

I love it, it looks so pretty with the double skyboxes too

I had a dream about a Doom map the other night and now I'm on a mission to recreate it. Those black walls are placeholders - I want it to be a "ruins in the jungle" setting. At the back on the right, I'm going to put a forest in there and have lots of monsters emerge. Also getting to grips with using OTEX to give me more texture variety.

I remember playing the first Golden Axe on my grandmas Genesis Nomad. Its been a secret desire of mine to see a Golden Axe doom mod!

I'm really into this ☺ can't wait to roam around in it!

Today, I'm pretty much done with the first map of my first wad! All it needs is a bit of third party playtesting and some visual touching up.
