Arrowhead Posted August 21 ACCELERATED ARENAS 2: MAP01: GALAXY GORGE: Gonna be starting the second session of my deathmatch community project in about a week from now! I've got the first speedmap done, took me 2.5 hours. This will be the introductory map in the new proposed set. Keep an eye out in the next 5-7 days for an in-depth thread giving more details - if you're new to deathmatch mapping, you're more than welcome to join up! The more the merrier - I've already 'unofficially' begun this community project in my Discord server, Arrowhead's Arenas! I know I just released session 1 like 3 days ago, but I really wanted to get going on the next! Plus, working w/ Ancient Aliens is a blast, of course! Arrowhead Posted August 21 Unnamed JimmyTex Deathmatch Pack: MAP04: CRAP MAP: Some kind of horribly managed sewer-waste processing depot! Kinda vaguely inspired by the 'Waste' levels of Quake 4. And yes, that's exactly what you think it is! Disgusting. Was gonna call the map 'You Can Smell This Level'. But the name 'Crap Map' made my childish self laugh more. So I went w/ that! Sometimes you just gotta mix your themes up a bit, ya know? Oh yeah, the best part! How could I forget! It's got a catchy MIDI remix of 'Great Mighty Poo Finale', by @Bloo - originally from Conker's Bad Fur Day! Arrowhead Posted August 24 Apex DM: MAP07: SECRET LABORATORY: Knocked out a quick techbase map! JimmyTex. Good stuff, but that goes without saying! Not sure how many maps will be in this pack. But I'm zipping along, having begun this 6 days ago. @mothvox @Bloo @TheGreenZap @SkeletronMK667 have all jumped on to this project too, so we should hit a dozen maps in no time. I thought portals don't work in outdoor settings, at least if I am interpreting this video correctly anyways. So I ended up completely reworking that whole section and basically just borrowed the exit area seen in the final section from Suspended in Darkness with the spaceship on the lift. 0 Share this post Link to post

A large central sandy courtyard where many drains are filling it w/ thick lava. High bridges, platforms and tunnels all interlace across this main play area.
