none of the weapons one-hit-kill any demons (at least as far as we know from actual playable content), but the gauss rifle is intended to be a counter weapon to the demon, it spawns after the demon rune spawns (by about 10 seconds) and can kill some lower hp demons in 2 shots like the revenant. depending on the other demon HP's it may take more or less than that.
