Abyssal Speedmapping Session 29 - #MapLikeHell!

Hey yeah its the probably penultimate iteration of everybody's favorite questionable acronym!

Due to popular demand, this session will (at least partially) be held on a different day, because why not.

So, one of the two sessions will be held on Sunday April 17, 2016 at noon Eastern Time . I will consult with Jimmy or whoever to see if the other session is 12 hours earlier or later. It will probably be earlier because who the heck speed maps on a Monday?
In terms of contact:
Discord is in working order and I shouldn't be day drinking this time so things will be peachy keen and we'll structured this time.

Haha April Fool it's just a week late, because doing stuff obnoxiously late is all but signature. Aw yeah. But it will be as close to fun as high quality mapping projects will allow.

See you there, tip your server, and remember to spay and neuter your pets.

I probably won't be hosting the alternate session if it's 12 hours later than this, as my semester break finishes on this day, and Mondays are an early start for me (8:45am lecture erk). Heck, attending the primary session will be a bit of a stretch. D:

I can offer theme suggestions still, and with any luck I'll be partaking in the mapping at some point, but yeah, maybe find a backup person.

Themes today are pretty cool ones that I totally didnt Oversleep (again) on:

Extensive use of ZIMMER textures
Living End style map progression. (Island in the middle)
Blur sphere against Hitscanners

I would have mapped but my Windows SYSTEM folder got corrupt and now I need to reinstall it. Maybe I install Win 7 now, at least SLADE 3 will work...

Crap, i've used the wfallx and a plutonia skybox (plus a silly thing) textures (not present in the texture pack), if this doesn't be good, i'll remove them!

Themes: ZIMMER overload

Build time: 3 hours and half, with pause for lunch

New Textures: Yes, WFALLx textures, a skybox and a silly textures added from me, hoping this will be ok with texture compiling and such stuf, i've mapped this before knewnng about rfhelltx

Music: midi rendition of "Macho Man" by village people (zdaemon FNF rulez!)

In this FDA a pinky survives a head-on rocket. :o Also two chaingunners kill each other. I decided to try to skip all turrets if possible so this went by faster than it might have.

Checking the automap makes it obvious where to go, but the blue door is labeled red. There's also that troll chaingunner, LOL, but whatever.

Resources: This pack of rf`'s textures from Mapgame, rf1024 and helltex. I made this during the first session so we could have some resources for this one but I don't think this got posted anywhere publicly. So pfffft.

I accidentally overwrote an awesome FDA where the spider killed me at the same time as I telefragged it because I wanted to get some reps in speedrunring it. :(

I'll be running this one when the collection is compiled though.
