boot disks

well i need to know how to make a boot disk for the old tandy 1000TX computer. possibly booting my versions of DOS 4-6.22.
Also is it possible to get into the BIOS at boot, like modern systems or do i need software, meaning i need to make a boot disks too

The BIOS should be accessible during the boot sequence, although it's been a long time since I've played with anything as old as a Tandy.

As for a boot disk, I think you have to put command.com on a disk for it to count as a boot disk. It'll also need an autoexec.bat. Past that, I don't remember too much about DOS. I try to forget old evils.

Easiest way to find out how to get into BIOS is to unplug keyboard, switch on, it soon tells you what to press. Format a floppy with cmd format /s

yea i have been formating that way, just i think that the disks are too new? i also think it only tries to boot from the 3 1/2 drive instead of both. oh well just need to play with it
