Take a look at this. What do you folx think of national law enforcement trying to impose their laws on websites based out of other countries? Hell, what do you think of Internet laws and standards in general?

Take national laws. Apply them to the internet. Net result: Chaos.

But you CAN try! The result will just not be the expected.

The problem is that the internet is very radically international. As most laws are national in nature and our legal world is still made with nations as a basis. The internet will not remain an anarchy forever, but we will be forced to adopt common international laws if we are to govern anything about the internet.

Here in England we already have FBI arresting people for internet crimes, I never saw the legislation that suddenly allowed this.

The Internet is out of control. I can never see it been controlled in something which people could say was reasonable.

Companies should look to employ convicted hackers, look at the guy who cracked the FBI in 95, forgot his name but he's getting good money now.

After they catch the people who create viruses they should cut off their fucking hands. I think that if a guy is distributing child pornography any country who catches him aught to be able to jail the fucker.

Sure the net needs some rules, but I can guarantee that when The Powers that Be get some control they'll run wild with it. People in power never know where to draw the line.

Rellik - i agree on your first point. I've been getting spammed with viruses for the past six months - if i find out who the fucker is, i'll spay/neuter them with a chainsaw.
