Making a very simple custom weapon.

I want to tweak the original Plasma Rifle a bit. I just want to make it so that it uses a custom ammo type and maybe change the colors a bit.

How do I go about doing this and also making a custom ammo (by changing some things of the usual cell)?

If you want to change sprite colors, then just export original sprites (from IWAD), redraw them, and put them into your wad.

I exported the plasma rifle sprites from the IWAD but I can't open lmp files. How do I open them and/or edit them?

Use "Graphic -> Export as PNG" instead of just "Export".
